# Music on a minimal iPhone (2026)

Short answer: music is the other direction. Almost nobody's compulsion lives in the Music app; it is one of the tools a stripped-down phone exists to protect. The interesting move is not removing it but building around it: a phone whose whole job is music, camera, maps and messages is the minimal device the community keeps describing, and the old iPhone in a drawer can become exactly that.
