## What it can't do

- Setting up a phone with the Mac erases it once, and you need a Mac. Photos, contacts and messages in iCloud come back; app data does not.
- The iPhone app pauses apps; it does not remove them. If you want it to stick, that is what the Mac is for.
- A determined person with a computer can factory-restore a phone back to normal. Right for your own bad nights, kids and grandparents. Not a jail for a motivated teenager.
