# iPhone for a parent. You choose what stays.

The easy phone for your mom and dad: a handful of apps, nothing to get lost in, nothing to accidentally install. Set it up once from your Mac and it stays as you left it.

A few apps, laid out plainly. Nothing to install by accident, no browser for scam links. FaceTime and photos stay.

## What goes away

No accidental installs. No popups asking for passwords. No browser for scam links to open in. Calls, messages, photos and maps, laid out simply and locked so it stays that way.

## What they keep

FaceTime with the grandkids, the camera, the photo library. It is their iPhone, minus the parts that get them lost.

## Big icons

Apple's Assistive Access turns the phone into large tiles. It can only be turned on from the phone itself, Apple's rule for every vendor, so the Mac app walks you through it step by step, including the exit passcode that stays with you.

## Checking in from far away

With Cloud: the battery and when the phone was last seen, and changes from your own phone instead of driving over. Never messages, and where the phone is only if you put it in Lost Mode.

## What it can't do

- Setup erases the phone once; photos back up first, and the setup walks you through it
- You need a Mac for the setup; later changes come over the cable, or over the air with Cloud
