Three steps

- Done — ads and trackers stop resolving, everywhere the phone goes
The profile points the device's encrypted DNS at our resolver. Domains on the oisd blocklist ("block, don't break" — maintained daily) simply stop existing for the phone. We answer name lookups and nothing else: no account, no browsing log — we don't keep one, by design.
What it doesn't do
- In-app ads served from an app's own domains (YouTube, Instagram) don't go away — no DNS blocker can do that, whatever it promises
- iCloud Private Relay routes around any DNS filter — turn it off for this to apply
- It's removable in Settings — this is the honest version; enforced blocking that can't be switched off is what supervised tinyphone is for
The bigger thing this is part of
tinyphone sets up iPhones that hold: an allowlisted home screen, modes on a schedule, blocking that can't be talked off the phone. This profile is the smallest piece of it — if it's useful, the rest is here. Signing in later upgrades this same phone to per-device rules, counters and family rollups.
Works on someone else's phone too — the profile is the same for everyone and identifies nobody. Install it on your mom's phone; she'll notice the ads are gone, not the profile.
