Make it yours
A mode is the apps that stay. It can also have a look: a widget that reads like a page, a wallpaper that stays put, a home screen laid out the way you want it. Four to start from, each made only of what Tinyphone does today.

Paper phone
A phone that reads like a page: the names of the few things you use, in a serif, on paper white.
- Tinyphone's Lines widget in the Paper look. Each line opens its app, or calls its person after iPhone asks. Pick the lines and the type (System, Serif, Rounded or Mono) in a mode's Widget section in the iPhone app.
- Add the widget from the Home Screen once. iOS lets no app or profile place a widget.
- With the Mac: one page, the dock fixed and the wallpaper set and locked, so it stays the way you left it.

iPod
A music player with a camera: your own songs, no feeds, no store.
- Set up with the Mac, only Music, Photos and Camera stay. No App Store, no browser.
- Apple Music's streaming is off, so the phone plays the songs you put on it.
- Any picture as the wallpaper, an album cover too, set from the Mac and locked.

Your designed phone
You lay out every page on the Mac, then it is locked, so it stays as you made it.
- Arrange on the Mac shows the phone beside its pages: drag an app onto a page, into a folder or into the dock. The wallpaper goes with it.
- Tiles: a web page as its own app on the home screen, full screen, that can't be deleted.
- Fonts you add go on the phone with the mode, for apps that offer a font choice. The names under the icons keep Apple's font.

Big and calm
For a parent: large words, the people they call, nothing to move or install by accident.
- The Lines widget in the Big look: large, bold lines. Tap a person and iPhone asks before it calls.
- With the Mac: one page, locked, only the apps you pick, and only people can send notifications.
- Larger and bold text is set on the phone itself, in Settings › Accessibility › Display & Text Size. No profile can set it, so the Mac's Easy mode lists it among the steps for the phone.
What stays Apple's
Other apps' icons, the font of the names under them, the lock screen's design, the system colours, ringtones and animations. Tinyphone can arrange, hide, lock, silence and add. It can't repaint iOS.
Can the Mac put a widget on the home screen?
No. iOS lets no app or profile place a widget, so you add the Lines widget yourself, once, from the Home Screen. The wallpaper, the layout and the apps that stay are set from the Mac and kept.
Do I need the Mac for these?
For the parts that stay put, yes: the wallpaper, the layout, the apps that stay. The Lines widget and its looks come with the free iPhone app.
